Description / Action: 

Xylazin injection contains xylazine hydrochloride which is an alpha-2 receptor antagonist (acts on both central and peripheral receptors). It produces sedation, muscle relaxation and analgesia which is also dose-dependent.

Class: Anaesthetic (alpha-2 receptor antagonist)

Indication / Uses:

Xylaxin injection is recommended for horses, cattle, dog, camel, cat, sheep, goat, wild deer, elephant, tiger and wild animals to produce a state of sedation. It can also be used as a preanaesthetic to general anaesthesia.

It is also recommended to use while conducting various diagnostic, orthopedic minor surgical and clinical procedures of short duration. It may also be used as a pre-anesthetic prior to general anaesthesia. Xylaxin is also of value in restraining animals during transportation, transshipment and immobilization for routine clinical observations.

Prilox Cream is a combination of two local anesthetic medicines, that helps to numb the area where it is applied. It is used on normal or unbroken skin to prevent pain before certain procedures like inserting a needle, suturing of a wound etc.

Prilox Cream works by temporarily numbing the skin and surrounding area. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. This medicine is for external use only. Make sure that the affected area is clean and dry before applying this medicine. Apply a thin layer and rub it gently to form a layer of about 2-3mm. After that, apply an occlusive dressing to protect the area. Keep the dressing for a minimum of 2 hours before any scheduled treatment or surgery. Avoid getting it into your eyes or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.

The most common side effects of this medicine include application site reactions like a burning sensation, irritation, itching, redness, and rashes. However, these are usually temporary and resolve on their own. Please consult your doctor if these do not go away or bother you for a longer duration.

Xylocaine 2% Jelly is a local anesthetic used to temporarily numb certain areas of the body. It is used as an anesthetic lubricant to insert instruments in the human body for medical procedures (e.g., catheters). It is also used for the treatment of symptoms of painful inflammation of the urethra and bladder.

The most common side effects of this medicine include redness, rash, burning, and itching at the site of application. These are usually mild and short-lived. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects persist or worry you.

Before using it, tell your doctor if you have liver disease or are taking medicines for heart rhythm problems. Although medicines used on the skin are not normally affected by other medicines you should let your doctor know if you are taking any other medicines to be safe. Ask your healthcare team for advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Lignocaine 2% Injection contains Lignocaine, which belongs to the group of medicines called Local anaesthetic agents. It is used to cause numbness (loss of sensation) of body parts in the regions where it has been administered (local anesthesia). It is generally used prior to spinal anesthesia or before surgical procedures to cause a temporary loss of sensation. It also helps to control the heartbeat in patients with arrythmia (an irregular heartbeat).

Xylocaine 2% Injection will be given to you only by a trained anaesthesiologist around the areas (such as hands, legs, abdomen, pelvis, and spine) locally where loss of sensation (numbness) is required.

Before receiving Ligbnocaine 2% Injection, inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any breathing disorders, blood problems, epilepsy, glaucoma, stroke, dehydration, low blood potassium levels, or muscle weakness.

Lignocaine 2% Injection should be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women only if considered necessary by the physician. The most common side effects of receiving XYLOCAINE 2% INJECTION are nausea, slow heart rate, dizziness, lower back pain, difficulty walking, and an inability to control urine or bowel movements. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects worsen.

Lignox 2 % A Injection is a combination medicine used as local anesthesia. It blocks pain signals from the nerves to the brain thereby decreasing the sensation of pain.

Lignox 2 % A Injection is given as an injection under the supervision of a doctor. Do not self administer the injection. Your doctor is the right person to decide the dose and duration of the medicine. Follow your doctor advice while taking this medicine.

Pale colored skin, burning sensation, stinging sensation, and itching are some common side effects of this medicine. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or last more than a few days.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have any liver or kidney disease. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You should also let your healthcare team know all other medicines you are taking as they may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
